10-Week Intensive Research Experience

Summit Research Foundations

Summit Research Foundations introduces students to college-level independent research within a supportive, low-pressure environment. Participants master essential academic skills: developing inquiries, reviewing literature, and writing analytically. The program prioritizes critical thinking and writing fundamentals through authentic projects. This track is ideal for students drafting AP Research papers or IB Extended Essays. It provides rigorous preparation for those new to scholarly work who seek strong foundations before pursuing future publication.

14-week advanced college-level research

Summit Research Scholars

Summit Research Scholars helps students translate independent research into public academic outcomes. Over 14 weeks, participants conduct college-level research to produce submission-ready papers for journals or competitions. Students master the evaluation and peer-review process through expert mentoring and faculty editing. Representing the highest level of high school achievement, this program is for students with strong writing skills who want to showcase polished work to prestigious external outlets.

19-week pre-collegiate research program

Summit Advanced Research Fellows

Summit Advanced Research Fellows is a flagship pre-collegiate program for highly motivated students. Over 19 weeks, participants engage in graduate-level research, targeting professional journals or conferences. Mentors treat students as true scholars, providing rigorous guidance on advanced research design and academic argumentation. With extensive editorial and submission support, this track is designed for those aiming for professional publication, advanced academic distinction, and preparation for future research-intensive university majors.

2-Week Day & Residential Program

Summer Research Program at Harvard University

Experience world-class research during this exclusive 2-week July program on Harvard University’s Cambridge campus. Students work directly with Harvard-affiliated professors and research mentors to conduct intensive, college-level inquiry and complete a full research paper. They present their findings at the Summit Symposium and, after the program, receive an additional 2 weeks of publication support to prepare their completed work for submission to professional journals or conferences. All participants also receive a certificate of completion and recommendation letters from Harvard research mentors.

2-Week Day & Residential Program

Summer Research Program at Columbia University

Engage in cutting-edge research in New York City. In this 2-week program, students work directly with Columbia professors and research mentors to develop a full 10–12 page research paper and present their findings at a Summit symposium. Following the program, students receive an additional 2 weeks of publication support to prepare their completed paper for professional journal or conference submission. All participants also receive a certificate of completion and recommendation letters from Columbia research mentors.

2-WEEK DAY & RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM

NEW: Summer Research Program at Georgia Tech

This program provides students with direct academic engagement with Georgia Tech faculty and research mentors, conducted on the vibrant Atlanta campus. Offerings include daily seminars led by experts, exposure to cutting-edge STEM fields like Robotics, Computer Science, and AI, and insight into Georgia Tech's innovation ecosystem labs. Students receive step-by-step guidance in research methods, technical analysis, and academic writing, culminating in a research paper or report and presentation at the program's showcase.

College Application Essays

Craft authentic college essays that showcase your unique voice with the guidance of our coaches for the Common App and supplemental essays for up to 10 colleges. In 1:1 sessions, students develop narratives that capture admissions officers' attention. Summit editors provide feedback and revisions to ensure each essay reflects the student's voice and meets college writing standards.

10-week Creative Writing Experience

Creative Writing Workshop

This 10-week program provides personalized mentoring for middle and high school students exploring essays, fiction, poetry, or nonfiction. Students receive 8 weeks of guided writing development to refine their voice and craft, followed by 2 weeks of publication support to create submission-ready work for contests or publishing opportunities, including the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

10-Week Advanced Writing Experience

Critical Essay Challenge

Strengthen your analytical writing skills in this 10-week program. Students develop a high-level critical essay through 8 weeks of expert mentoring and 2 weeks of submission support. Ideal for major competitions such as the John Locke Essay Competition and the Coolidge Scholarship, this program helps students craft compelling arguments, clear reasoning, and polished academic prose.

Venture Studio

Transform your ideas into reality. This 10-week program empowers students to develop projects such as mobile apps, YouTube channels, blogs, or nonprofits.
