How to Apply

1. Explore & Select Your Program

  • Students may begin once accepted and matched with a mentor.

Summer Research Programs

  • Applications must be submitted by the published deadlines.
  • Early Application Deadline: January 31, 2026
  • Early applicants receive priority review and a $500 tuition discount.

Regular Admission: Reviewed on a space-available basis after the early round.

2. Submit Your Application

Complete the online application by providing:

  • Student and school information
  • Parent or guardian contact details
  • Program preference
  • A brief overview of your academic interests and relevant experiences

This information helps our team assess readiness and identify the best mentor match.

3. Interview & Admissions Decision

After your application is reviewed, our admissions team will contact you—typically within one week—to schedule a short interview.

The interview allows us to:

  • Learn more about your interests and goals
  • Confirm program fit
  • Answer any remaining questions

Following the interview, you will be notified of your admissions decision.

4. Enrollment & Program Start

Once accepted, families receive an invoice with payment instructions. Upon receipt of payment:

  • Students are matched with a mentor within one week
  • You begin developing your research plan and project outline
  • Your mentor provides step-by-step guidance throughout the program

Payment Options: Summit Institute accepts payment by check, Zelle, Venmo, credit/debit card, and domestic or international wire transfer. Payment instructions are provided after acceptance and invoice issuance.
