Summit Research Scholars is designed for motivated students ready to take research beyond the classroom and into the academic world. Through faculty-supported research, structured writing development, and guided submission preparation, students complete a polished scholarly paper and learn how academic work is reviewed and published.

Students conduct AP-level to early college-level research with the goal of producing a submission-ready paper for selective high school research journals or academic competitions. This program represents the highest achievement within the high school research track—ideal for showcasing academic excellence in college applications.

Program Breakdown:
  • 10 Weeks of Research Mentoring
    • Conduct topic-driven research aligned with academic questions
    • Complete literature review, methodology, and analysis
    • Build a full research paper draft with weekly mentor guidance
  • 2 Weeks of Faculty Writing & Editing
    • Line-level revision to improve clarity, logic, structure, and style
    • Strengthen arguments, polish prose, and finalize citations
    • Prepare a publication-quality final manuscript
  • 2 Weeks of Publication Support
    • Identify suitable journals, platforms, or competitions
    • Format paper to outlet guidelines with faculty oversight
    • Receive support creating submission materials (cover letter, abstract, etc.)
